Not sure as it hasn't happened to me you could try 1. Clearing your Cache 2. Make sure you are updated to latest game version 3. Try restarting your device 4. Try uninstalling and reinstalling ...

this happens to me when the US wake up and presumably lots of people are logging on. Other times the game is fine.
