Is TSTO appropriate for a 9 year old?
I wouldn't let anyone under the age of 11 or 12 play it...some of the content and jokes are a bit too mature for a 9 year old but not so much for an 11 or 12 year old.

I agree with both your posts ( couldn't figure out how to quote 2 in the same lost) and I like the way you think.
While I don't corrupt my 9 year old niece ...I am the cool aunt, and have been for all my 25 nieces and nephews. They hear and see a lot worse at school in the real world and they know what is acceptable to me and their parents in our little corner of the world.
Mu 9 year old neice started me playing the game ( she would have been 7 at the time ) and I continue to play under her username. She has her own new account now and even though She's a smart cookie and quick as a whip, honestly ...she never reads the dialogue. She ( like me) whips through it cause it's all about getting the "new toy".
The most important thing imho is to make sure her parents are okay with her playing cause it can be life ruingly fun!
