People can read whatever "tone" they want to assume into anything online. That doesn't mean it's there.
It wasnt a cheap shot, its in quotes, its a style of a sound that is simile, a comparison of coming off as mean vs. coming off as helpful and nice. It goes both ways so, whatever you want, you get. You win. Do you feel better now?
