How about - turn on your imagination and create something interesting? Not just: building, tree and road around. This is boarding!!! 3d buildings is much more fun than usual ones! I want to create my own unusual town, not just "hey, build a "normal" town and be quite!". I want to do things like this, so I need more land!

The good thing about the lack of land is that I'm finally not compelled to buy limited time premium things. Which is great, considering that they decided to dangle a record > 500 donuts' worth of limited time, July 4th premium content, in an attempt to cash in big.

I might change my mind once Gil gets here with some stale red, white, and blue-sprinkled freedom donuts.

Why not? There is a lot of people who don't think the current premium pricing is excessive. I'm sure those people would pay it. Maybe premium land would allow different types surfaces like dirt, stone or river rapids.

Some more ocean would be nice too....my harbour is a little congested and I still have 74 boardwalk tiles in storage with no place to put them...

Land is always better though :)
