Lol maybe something a little smaller, for those who have limited space
But this is exactly what I mean. If they are forum regulars they'll eventually pick up on the signals, and know what to look for.
Hopefully of this goes well one of the moderators can sticky this or something.- Maybe use a morse code type of thing:
rectangle hedges = dashes
grey trash cans = dots
Tile = T = dash = hedge
Corn = C = dash dot dash dot = hedge can hedge can
Channel 6 = 6 = dash dot dot dot can = hedge can can can can
Stage = S = dot dot dot = can can can
Items required are cheap and don't take up too much space.

http://www.learnmorsecode.com/pix/CW.gif - Morse Code with the hedges and cans is brilliant!! That said, it feels like the average user is Ralph and doesn't read the forum. You have to spell it out and even convince them why to tap. For my friends nobody tapped my boardwalk with just an arrow so I had to write out in fences "for lots XP, tap B. tiles" before they regularly tapped them.

Personally, even if something like the morse code thing became the norm, I wouldn't use it in my Springfield, as I am not fussed about what my neighbors tap, as long as they are visiting and tapping something. If they do happen to hit the tile or whatever, then that's just all the better. :)
I do however watch for signs like that when I am visiting someone else. I always check for the Squidport tile first, then go hunting for the others, even if that means spending a few extra moments looking around (though admittedly if I don't find what I am looking for after so long, I will just try to find long-term buildings to click, if nothing else). Sure, it may take me like an hour to get through everyone, but eh...I don't really mind.- Only of more players visited the forum. It would've made this far easier lol
- Here is my LZ
- I have to admit I wish they would take the "glitch" thing out. I really hate people telling me what to do in a game that is supposed to be fun. I have the tile thing going, but no instructions to others to tap it. I don't do the others because I don't want to order others around or make an ugly SF just to get the taps. If it is right there I will tap it, and I will go to Squidport, but otherwise I look at the towns I visit and if I see a glitch thing I tap it, but I am not going to waste a lot of time worrying about it. It's a game, not a lifestyle. *smile*

True enough there are those that advise players to tap certain buildings, but no one is holding a gun to anyone's head and saying, do it this way or else. ;)

Play the way that you enjoy. If it means a neighbor un-neighbors you because they don't like how you play, so be it. Plenty more around that will be happy to fill the spot. :)epolng wrote:

No one is forcing you to tap anything, people are just asking if you can to tap things. It's a community trying to help each other. I guess if you're opposed of this who am I to say anything right lol.CookieKwan1 wrote:
What about these as symbols maybe? The broken down washer/dryer for Cletus' Farm, a weather station for Channel 6, 4 Squidport/wooden fence pieces arranged in a square and the graffiti hand brick wall for the Stage. I'm not overly fussed on the brick wall but after going through the decorations list I couldn't find anything else remotely music/sound related looking. Feel free to love or hate or change any of it. I'm just throwing out ideas haha. Sorry it's so big, it didn't want to resize for some reason
This. Idea. Is. Awesome. Wow. Using iconic items as symbols would be great!
Now, what about for those of us who do not have any of these to tap, and want to inform visitors of that? I'm maxed out on tiles and am ashamed to admit how much money I have. Maybe four stop signs, arranged in a tight cube formation like your brown fence railings? Any thoughts?
