List two items that are way different in terms of scale.

Yeah the main reason that I don't buy the space shuttle is because it's so
small compared to most other buildings.

Later this day I will search some buildings in my town with different scales too and post it here.

The Canyonero is really overscaled and the News Van is underscaled. It looks like the News van could fit under the hood.

I concur. I was wanting to put the Canyonero in the Simpsons driveway, but the car is almost bigger than the house!

To be fair, according to its ad jingle, the Canyonero DOES seat 35 people. :)
  • I design for a living so the scale not matching the size of the characters sometimes drives me crazy. There are items I will not use because it just looks ridiculous, like the stadiums. The stadium seats from tap ball, are silly. The Canyonero is in scale with the characters. The private island has a Jacuzzi that would be about the size of a bucket compared to the characters.

That's why I put the Canyonero in front of the gas pumps at the Kwik-e-Mart. If ever there was a gas-guzzler, this is it! Still looks ridiculous, though...
  • The Canyonero is definitely over-scaled. EA, down scale the Canyonero!
  • The problem they have is if they scale the characters to the buildings, then the characters would tiny and be like 2 pixels tall. If they scaled the buildings to the characters, then the buildings would be fill-the-screen huge and it would take a hour to scroll across your Springfield. So it's obvious that the scaling mismatch between the characters and the buildings was an intentional decision so that we can see both the characters and the building on the screen at the same time, which seems like a reasonable compromise.

They've done a pretty good job keeping the scaling on the characters consistent with each other. Vehicles seem to mostly be on character scale, but the roads are building scale so the vehicles are as wide as the roads. They really need to be more consistent with the building scaling though. It's all over the place. :x

They could make everything bigger, or make the characters smaller and resolve it by allowing you to zoom in more, or out more, than is allowed now.
  • The Zenith City Times is out of scale even with itself. I can't make sense of it.
