- EA give out the Martin skin and no one could make progress in the quest line unless of course they purchased the ice palace, that went on for weeks. And there have been a few others off late.

If you don't have the Mayan Homer skin, no quest is triggered and half of her tasks (including all of the visual ones) are locked until "Quest." I never said it was a "bug" but the Homer skin is essential to unlocking the other tasks and using one of her visual tasks.
You’re right, of course (although one other poster explicitly did so). But when posters refer to something as “broken” or in need of being “fixed” or “patched”, to me that strongly implies bug. As I said before, it’s an issue that may be cause for disappointment or mild annoyance, but I’m kinda surprised at the strong feeling that this is a screw-up that demands some response from EA. The behavior in question is a reflection of the way that the game has always worked — some tasks and quest lines simply aren’t possible without all of the requisite puzzle pieces.- When buying premium content, I don't think that it is out of line to expect that there will be a quest line if there was one in the past. If it requires other things, then those should be offered. I would have no issue paying for Mayan Homer if that is necessary. Paying donuts for a skin that has no visible tasks as it is now is just a waste of donuts.

You certainly have the right to feel that way. I would only respond that when buying content from past events I take it as a given that some tasks or even an entire quest line might be blocked. This is nothing new. Caveat emptor."KrustyBrand;c-1631057" wrote:

I'm sure that at 80 donuts it was not meant to do nothing. It is not some quests that are blocked. It's all quests and all visual tasks that are impossible. I posted this thread as a warning to those considering spending their donuts, and possibly to get EA's attention so they can fix the problem."petehd14;c-1631068" wrote:

I’ll make a few points here and then probably call it a day. First, I’m all for PSAs like this one. They’re a valuable source of information for forum users and you should be thanked for taking the time to start this thread. Two, you state that “at 80 donuts it was not meant to do nothing”. Why not? I’ve spent that much (and more) on game content that essentially “did nothing”. Three, the character/skin in question is, in fact, not “doing nothing”; as you yourself note, it’s merely not capable of performing the full range of possible tasks without the presence of certain other game elements. Finally — and I’m sorry to keep harping on this point — you ought to at least consider the possibility that this is not an issue that merits “fixing”. If EA changes course and decides to make available to users the content necessary for the quest line to trigger, that’s fine and dandy as far as I’m concerned. But I don’t think it’s incumbent upon them to do so.- Funny when EA bundles items that really don't need be, but then sell separately characters that require each other to continue their questlines. Acorn and Squirrel being another such set sold separately.

Probably nobody at EA plays the game anymore. Not as we play.- I'm sure that they will release a patch before long to solve the problems with Mayan Marge as it seems to be the norm now, release a item/character/skin from a previous event, wait and see what works and what doesn't then fix the issue.

Yeah, right?
I don't mind so much that they offer Mayan Homer and Mayan Marge seperatelyrather than bundled, but offering them at completely separate times, when they depend on each other? That's either bone-headed or mean.
I feel like I bought a rock. Like Santa gave me a present and failed to tell me it only runs on C batteries.
