I've made the decision not to do any major design work with the monorail until I know how much and what types of track I have available to work with so for now I'm happy just connecting the stations with a few bits of track.

I'm designing my system as best as I can. I don't remove or change anything until I need to, to accommodate the tracks. Some buildings are being moved, but not many. I had to move the nuclear plant, because, I couldn't figure out how to get around it, but with all the new plots that were available, I bought up all the land, which cost me a cool 19 million dollars. I'm not planning on covering my whole town, as is, after this event is over, if EA doesn't make tracks available in the store, there won't be enough track to work with. Right now, all 3 terminals are hooked up, and as I get new stretch's of track, I'm now working on hooking up from the Tetanus to the Krusty terminals. If EA see's fit to add track to the store after the event is over, then, i'll start redesigning. Except for all the bugs and glitch's this event has brought us, the Monorail is my favorite. New events with this much interest on my part are endless. I have a few thoughts on new events, that I might throw at EA.The main terminal is centrally located. Krusty's is near the upper right with a complete downtown business center used mostly with Springfield Heights buildings and high rises, and the Tetanus terminal is towards the bottom right, where I also moved Cletus's farm. Since I have all the Spuckler kiddies, I thought a swimming pool with a water slide was in order. Now, I wish EA would allow the kiddies and all their friends to have pool parties, and maybe one or two kids running rampant all over the farm naked.I have a pretty neat town. I've been working on it since 2012. I enjoy designing, and not just plopping down buildings where ever there is room. I don't have any 3D buildings or area's like so many have, but I think I've done pretty well, considering, after I downloaded this game, I didn't like it, and was about to dump the game, then decided to give it another week. Needless to say, I'm so addicted to this game, I think 72 hours of observation at a hospital's nut ward, shots of Ativan, and group therapy might be in order.

The only problem I see is WHEN will there be time to really organize the monorail the way I want. I've been waiting 6 months so I can blowup my town and do a remake but between work & event after event I got no time. I love the constant updates and am enjoying tsto more so this year than last but we really need a good two weeks of downtime so I can restructure my town.

This is the most I have ever redesigned my town. Lots of areas of my town had to be redesigned, but it's well worth it because its going to look great once the event finishes. This is the best event ever. Being able to ride everyone's monorail will be awesome.This is also the most active that I have ever been during an event. I'm trying to get as many bonus tracks as possible. I check the app several times a day. Everytime I have a little free time, I'm checking the app.

I can't see nuking, unless you have a really cruddy town to begin with, and just put buildings where ever, then it might be a good idea to nuke, especially if you want a really nice town. I have a few friends that do just that. Plop a building, right next to the last building. 10 Krusty Burgers, 5000 trees, and everything else in multitudes. I can't see playing like that. Why even bother, if you're not going to design with thought? Oh well, it's not my choice how someone decides to play this game. All I ask of my friends is to visit each day, especially during events. I have quite a few, that don't bother during non events, and that's okay, but come a new event, if someone that previously said they'd be a good neighbor and always visit, then stop during the next event, I wave bye bye, but do give them about a week or two, just in case they can't start right away. Even if you hadn't planned on visiting, I was intrigued to see your town, and I must admit, that not only is your Springfield pretty snappy, Krustyland is impressive too.

I'm just placing all my tracks at the bottom until I have all the track pieces. I can't build something if I don't know how many parts I'll have.
Since Halloween will start right after this, I'll probably just end up storing everything, like I did w/ all the Clash of Clones walls (wish I never did go back and build).

Is it possible to place the tracks so that the pillars are not on the sidewalk and still overpass the road without having a pillar in the road? Or worse case a pillar in the middle of the road (turn lane middle) and none on the sidewalks to overpass the road?

I intend to nuke my secondary town when this event is over. I have decided I like the grid pattern. So I'm doing that in that town and SH in my main town

I like how my town has grown organically in my main town. I'll do some redesigning once I have Barney's. I have a plan for a sports/fun area

It is really hard to integrate! I agree. :)
At the moment my stations are way too close to eachother, the thing is, we don't know yet with how many rails we'll end up with in the end.
I would really like to have the Monorail all around my town. But I don't think we'll get enough rails for that. So for now I'm just adding up the rails and I'll have to move the stations around once I know where it will end.

I don't know why you're worried about this. It's not like we can put cars on the road. :(

I have my houses surrounded by my castle walls and the track going around the walls. I just hope to get enough track to go all the way around. The monorail is complementing my town so beautifully. Moving buildings one piece at a time works for me.

I had intended to nuke my town once this event was over....I hadn't even crossed my mind Halloween was right behind it. :cry:

Maybe since the kids are back in school I can nuke on a Monday and just ignore the house work for a few afternoons and get everything rebuilt before Halloween starts :lol:

I love the idea of random bits of track left, but I know I won't have the discipline to do that. I'll use every curvy piece of track I can get... :)

I really had no idea what to do so I just had my Tetanus Terminal circling the prison

My main terminal though I'm going to think up something more substantial, more than likely would be up in Springfield heights
