my first decoration warning.....

Oh definitely. I'm somewhere over 7000 right now and my game runs fine - I'm on samsung galaxy S6.
I feel your concerns though. I've taken down hundreds of hedges and other fun "scenes". They really need to raise the deco limit.
  • Yes you can just ignore it but if you want to try using the hide building button and see if you have any decorative items or roads behind buildings that you can store you might be surprised how much you have.

Good advice. I unfortunately have an affinity for snapdragons. So tiny yet they count as much as any building. I don't want a sparse town but I might have to cull.

I have also been getting the first warning for the last several weeks. For me, it pops up regularly whenever I try to move anything in edit mode then goes away for a while only to return regularly to nag me later on. I went through my town and stored non visible things that were behind buildings like fences (except the things I hid on purpose). I don't have any lag in my game so I am guessing that at this point it isn't anything to worry about. There are a lot of people complaining about this that are at a much higher warning than we are getting. Hopefully, they will raise the limit soon.
  • The primary issue is longer loading times at start. Then you'll notice more rendering glitches, like fountains that look like a jumble of randomness. Then you may start seeing flickering of every one of a certain item. But that's up around 7000 so don't worry as long as you have a fairly new device and aren't running other processes at the same time.

If you keep getting the message repeatedly, just add a couple items so you are above the number triggering the warning.

I'm on an old Nexus7 2012 edition, with 6300+. But i keep ALL my notifications off, which really helps conserve device resources.
  • Thanks all

I too love snapdragons.... they are perfect for outlines. Also, traffic cones are the nearest thing to the simpson skin tone! I agree about raising the limit since the new land arrived, but if it is just warnings then I guess I will carry on. Great tip about looking behind buildings

    now to finish normal Ralph.....
  • Its a terrible feeling right? Hopefully this will be the next big improvement to the game.
