- I've for what I consider a slum area. Muntz house right next to moe's with the dog track and sleep easy motel across the street and some waste barrels and other "crappy" deco like the beat up car.
- This was the start of my slum, which sounds a lot like what you had in mind. Hope it helps!
http://i.imgur.com/fzerzJn.jpg - I'm actually building my slum/run-down/bad part of town right now. I'm using debris and small shrubs to make the parking lots look dirty/unkempt. This part of my town includes:
Krusty Burger
Kwik-E-Mart
First Church of Lard Lad
Helter Shelter
Nog Bar
Herman's Military Antiques
Sunsphere
Eventually will include the Springfield Tire Fire
Residents are:
Nelson
Willie's Farm
Pumpkin House
Condemned Brown House

Bloodbath and Beyond (the gun store) - Dear future slumlords, Please accept my invitation to farm all the transient brown houses you can. Love, Detroit, XOXO
- jukan00New SpectatorI used to consider what to do for impoverished areas then I decided since I'm making my Springfield the way I want everyone is doing fine and so no run down areas. Part optimism part laziness since I didn't think I could pull it off.
- skollthewolfRising NoviceI don't know about a straight-up slum, but I put together a pretty convincing seedy side of town. My "Lower East Side" borders an industrial area to the north, the seaside to the south, and downtown to the west.
The buildings I used to construct the area include the high school, the Try-N-Save, Moe's Tavern, the Legitimate Businessmen's Club, Zesty's, Herman's Military Antiques, the unemployment office, the Sunsphere, the Adult Education Annex, a Kwik-E-Mart, the Helter Shelter, Frink's Lab, the ice skating rink, the DMV, and the Bachelor Arms. I also included a neighborhood of six houses split across two blocks. I used Nelson's house here, as well as the Ancient Burial Ground, and I decorated with dead trees, spooky trees, as well as some shrubs to make the grass look unkempt.
I'll have to post a picture sometime soon. - You clearly have not been to the LES. It is safe and nice now.
- skollthewolfRising NoviceI call it that because it's on the lower east side of my Springfield.
- it's a shame that the beat up car is a rip off :? it's 30 d's and very small multiplier
:? - Chris -
Yes it's a small mutliplier but I like to send Nelson to shoot at the car. It's a short task but fun to watch.
