Not ghosts gremlins. if you release enough gremlins to the negative number will continue to go down. The negative gremlin number will continue to go down with each neighbor you visit that allows you to release gremlins without closing the game or going back to your town (which will reset the number to 0).

I have only had it go down to a -4. But when I went to the next town, I just had zero to give. I could not continue to give the way you are describing

I try to visit all my friends in one swoop. The game will crash or I hit the home button to go back to my springfield when the splash screen starts glitching out. In a few instances I already had a -5 gremlins and when I went to the next town it told me I could release 10 more into that town. Ill get a picture of it tomorrow when I can visit my neighbors.

for the most part, I do the same thing. I try to do most all my neighbors at one time

I have gotten -1 but it now looks like they fixed this glitch. It use to should how many gremlins you could put in a neighbors SP but now I see only how many I can place.

At one time you could place more gremlins than you had if the neighbor could accommodate but you did have to pay it back

Always getting negative gremlins. I wonder if anybody has noticed any negative effects from going negative. I remember the wacking day snake issue where you could collect more snakes than allowed in a friend's town but the extra snakes would be taken from your total and placed in theirs...or something like that. Is there anything like that happening with negative gremlins?

You're not actually placing gremlins in other peoples towns that you don't have. When you collect from friends and exit their town, without collecting all the gremlins, then the gremlins do not show up on gremlin total.

Say you have 5 gremlins when you start collecting. Then you place 5 gremlins in the first town. While collecting in that first friends town you receive 2 gremlins from ghost or haunting. Then you leave before the goo/gremlins collect or the collection message appears. When you go into your next friends town your gremlin count will be 0 but you actually have the two gremlins you collected from your previous neighbor. It will say you have 2 gremlins to give and when you give those two gremlins your gremlin count will say negative 2.
