So glad that negativity is back :-)))

Never goes out of style...

I already left my two cents in the other thread, but I can repeat the gist of it here. 

• It feels thin for an EP, with interactions and functions that should have been incorporated in other EPs or basegame but wasn't. Like the picknick blanket which should have come with Cottage living (where we get the picknick basket), or cuddling in bed which should have been basegame, the dating app and turn ons and turn offs which should have been a part of My wedding stories...
• The city feels anonymous and boring, with only repeated buildings from previous packs instead of something vibrant, unique and special. We have a lot of worlds already, and it's a strain on the system. 
• Personally I see nothing in this that I feel I lack all that much, so I won't be getting it right away. Possibly when it's on sale at 50 or 60 percent off. 

It does feel a bit light in content. Would have been nice to have a couple or so more activities that sims can do, either on a date, or just for going on a fun night out on the town. People have been asking for the pool table to return for a long time now and it would have been a nice addition to this pack.

I know some people like it, but I think the bb is godawful, I'm sorry. It looks like someone took the rejects from Get Famous, High School Years, Modern Luxe and Vintage Glamour, threw them together in a blender and hit "frappé," I guess if you're going for intentionally tacky, it works, but so far I can't imagine how I would use most of what I've seen. 

I'll save my typing for the Thursday stream, but at the moment I feel in between excited and tricked. I'm sure the depth of the romantic relations will be both interesting and fun, and I still hope for Ciudad Enamorada to be worth it. But the pack has not managed to show off many new features, I mean, I can already take my sims on date and have them romancing. Most scenarios I think I can play (with some imagination added) without the pack. I hope there are many new minor features that we have not yet learned about.

I keep saying EP is the new GP, less content for the cost of an EP, which I kind of accept because everything has become more expensive. I just would like each pack to contain something that would appeal to the majority of simmers. If I was a romantic simmer I'd definitely get this pack, but what is there for the rest of us? We are too many to get ignored.

It doesn't help much that the cost has been raised 17%. So, both reduced content + increased cost feels a bit tricky...  Again, I'll stay neutral until the stream ;) Am looking the most forward to see the map of the new world.

I feel like we need a positive and negative thread on these new forums because I have thoughts and feelings and a space to vent would be delightful...

As for this latest EP, so far it's giving it should have been a gamepack vibes but perhaps the livestream will change my mind. I'm still going to buy it and continue to be part of the problem. I said the same thing about Horse Ranch and I ended up loving a lot about that pack.

I like some of the furniture I saw, seems like completer sets for the maximalist style furniture with gold accents we got in previous packs. I am not too fond of the big rose/flowers wallpapers, but would like to see them in game for myself and see how they fit with everything else.

But then we have stuff packs like Chrystal Creation, and GPs like Werewolves showing us that that doesn't have to be the case, both were well rounded, well thought out packs with lots of content. So obviously it can be done. 

I really like the new build mode items that I have seen, but $59.95 for it is a lot of money. I will have to be impressed with the live stream or wait for a sale.
