new download on Kindle
Remove tapped out from device, go to app store and download newest version.

I have a Fire HD and this is what worked for me. Go to the Apps section, and from there to the Store. Look up Simpsons Tapped Out like you didn't already have it. When I found it, instead of a "Buy" button, it said "Update." I pushed it, waited while it updated, and then it asked if I wanted to open it. That was it! :-)
