New notifications
hmmm, I have not noticed that yet. Though yesterday was the first time in 6 months that my notifications screen said that I had a friend invite. I also have my notifications turned off

I have noticed the same thing. I have been going through my list and trying to delete those who have not logged in and have gotten a few new friends who have visited, but I also chalked it up to people getting excited about Halloween and getting a "good and active" friends list read for the social part of the next update.
and now that you mention it, you deleted me as a friend, what gives?
