Our son belongs to a junior golf club. I don't like to divulge too much identifying information on the Internet, lol, so won't say the name of the club but they are associated with the PGA and LPGA. The kids get to go to the local tournaments and interact with the pros. They get lessons from pros and they compete in their own league. It's pretty awesome.
For christmas I got him zombie golf club covers, they are so funny.
He is also on a competitive swim team and runs 5Ks. His goal is his first 1/2 marathon by the time he is 13 and first marathon by the age of 18 (his parents are runners, I do two 5 milers a week and his dad is training for the Marine Corps Marathon -- it's a bit involved getting invited to it).
He tells people "I'm not your traditional athlete, I like to do my own thing." He's also on the drummer for the praise band at church, for the band in school, and part of a junior jazz band.
He's my awesome super kid! LOL yes, I'm a bragging mommy.
Wowzers! Your son sounds like super son! LOL. No bragging, all I see is a proud mom. :)
And all this talk about scones! I'm hungry. And it's 1am. I shouldn't be eating. :(
