- I think I rec'd the NH Diner last 4th of July. What's-his-name was investigating All American Apu for selling illegal fireworks and the diner came with him.

Another item for everyone!
Too freaking bad, Jim. So sorry if it's no longer a prized "you can't have this" building, there are others that you can still feel that way about :roll:TAGSfan60982 wrote:

Yep, we got it with Rex Banner last year during 4th of July event, I am assuming he will be available this year as well.tlindfors wrote:

Maybe he should be available as premium only this year and new content for 4th July.velinadelinis wrote:

I never thought of that but knowing EA thats probably whats going to happen. But I dont really mind as long as I get something for free.velinadelinis wrote:

The Diner won't be premium if it returns it'll be for about 1500 in game cash and all American apu would be premium most likely- Well they re-released Tom and O'Flanagans pub as non-Premium for * Patrick's day so I'm assuming they'll do the same for NHD & Rex Banner. Not sure about All-American Apu though. Isn't he essential to the Rex Banner quests?

we might have a nice lil mini event with that then as well after this Stonecutter is over.. I cant wait because I wasnt tapping out last year for July 4th and the Nighthawk Diner is one Item ive wanted for soo long! I hear Rex Banner is pretty cool as well =)- The way I see it, they're going to want to have something for everyone (it would be lame if there was nothing new for anyone who was playing last year) so they will do something new for those who were playing last year and most likely offer last years stuff as well for those who missed out.

Agree. IMO it would make much better business sense for EA to please the middle group of players ... Those who have finished the questlines. Now those players are at the "Okay. That was fun. What next?". What is left for them are dozens of premium buildings to fill out their Springfields. If i were EA, THOSE are the ones I would want to keep happiest.
By contrast, the old-timers fall into two groups: those who are happy to already have purchased all or most of the premiums, and those who are staunch and proud " freemium" players. Neither group is going to be a source of the large amount of money still to be had from the up-and-coming group.
The Nighthawk Diner being held back is an irritation to that up-and-coming middle group. I fully expect EA to do something that is a pleasant surprise for THEM, and risk losing people from whom profits are going to dribble in one building at a time, as they are released every month or so, (Or in the case of longtime freemium players, not at all.)
Face it -- they can't please everyone. Go to where the maximum FUTURE money is.
