Nightmare markers

Great idea! Gargoyle for Zombies? Monkey Bars for Skeletons?

Ok, so it's really handy if you go into someone's town and there's a marker to indicate what they're making at the campfire if you can't see what kid is telling a story and you didn't catch the sound because of the Roar of the FTs. So I decided to do that myself.

I've got the Tube Slide for Snakes. I've got a Bunny Topiary for Bunnies. I'm stuck on what I can use for Zombies and Skeletons.

It need to be something I can buy for cash if I don't have it, cheap because I'm still buying land, and fit onto a 4x4 square so I can put them all in the same spot.

    Suggestions?

This is confusing me. The campfire is the LZ. How can you not see the story teller? Unless there isn't one on duty? Then the sound is the back up notification. Both are instant, and consistent in every town you visit.

The sounds are enough for me. I can hear the chime of the bunnies and the bone rattling of the skeletons very easy. The zombies are a louder growl and the snakes just seem like none of the above.

I skip every town that doesn't make the sound i want. Then later when my currency has become something different, i go back through and listen for the matching sound again.

My friend visits are much much faster and I'm upgrading my fire much faster. The sound works.

Saying that, i don't know what its like for friends visiting my town, but my LZ just lately is NEVER the same place, and is almost NEVER my campfire!!! I'm not sure why?

OK i just visited a dozen people and...
    1. Each time the LZ was the campfire
    But-
    2. The story teller was NOT accurate to identify the spawn valuable. Most often the campfire was empty with no teller on duty.

The sound IS accurate though: Chimes, bone rattles, growl, or none of the above.

I can't currently do my visits due to wifi probe, so i can't comment on my neighbours landing point. but when i open up my game its always different, its almost always where i left the game when i last shut? Not sure why, i'm not bothered, i just don't know why!

They made a change a short while back, at least on Android, that if you don't close the app completely, if you instead leave it in your recent apps list, it will resume from your last point of game play.

Otherwise, during this event the LZ is the campfire. Unless it's not on the playing field of course.
  • Thanks for all your input. I've decided on:

    Suspicious Dirt Pile for Zombies
Spooky Tree (with skeleton) for Skeletons
    Bunny Topiary for Bunnies
    Tube Slide for Snakes

And I'm putting out stop signs next to my Campfire to indicate times when I may not be available to tap the Formless Terrors within the 4 hour limit.

Man, it's been a heck of a day. Hour and a half drive for a funeral of a friend where I almost kept breaking into tears (I'm a LOUD crier when my emotions break through - it's embarrassing). Hour and a half drive back. Then on to our monthly Linux meeting - our only social outing each month. The dog we got from the Humane Society last week to replace our dog that disappeared has kennel cough and has given it to our other dog and they're both big enough to knock us down so it's next to impossible to get them to take their liquid medication (finally mixed it into some canned food - that got it into them). At least he's acclimatizing and no longer shies away from us - unless we have something in our hands) so hopefully we can take him off the cable soon and he won't run away again...

After 4 hours the story teller pops out with the rest of the kids in the visited town. So if I'm asleep and it's been more than 4 hours since I started the cycle they won't see anything.

Wow... didn't realize this. Since about 80% of my neighbors have someone telling stories when I visit, I guess they are addicts like me.

Nice guide. I'll follow your lead on these, neighbor.

My sympathies on the loss of your friend. And good luck with your new dog, and getting both dogs well!
