One of the big things about having these minievent replace the levels is that the minievents are limited time, I.E. we don't know if/when the content will return. So if you're unfortunate enough to miss a minievent you have potentially lost that content for a few years.Also if you're a freemium player or just don't like to buy donuts to regurally you don't have the luxury of saying, I'll save my free donuts and buy that new premium in a month or so, like you can with premiums introduced in level updates.Those are just two reasons of many that show why some people rather levels to minievents, I personally haven't any overall preference.

Since it's been so long since the last level, max level players should all be at 10,000,000 XP right now. Each time a new level comes, it drops your XP amount required to bonus level up so it costs less cash and XP to level up for bonuts each time.

Level 59 was released on November 10th. It's been almost 5 months since the last level update which is a bit ridiculous. Yes we've had mini events instead of level updates. However deco's, skins, and buildings with no new characters in these mini events is getting a bit bland. I wouldn't mind if we had a few mini events in between levels though.

Maybe they're working on something big for level 60.I'm 99% sure they're not, but it'd be great if they were.

I couldnt wait any longer (Miss Spingfield beckoned) and cashed most of my money in. I got 180 donuts last time around.This time I want some of the costumes, but there is no way for me to buy them. I can't save up enough donuts in time, and these will next be available...someday if ever.

This mini event IS fun. There's plenty of new content. Not naming it a "level" is no problem for me.

This happens every year

We don't get a level update for a long time

People freak out saying there never adding them again

We get a bunch of level updates around summer time and then the cycle repeats again come October.

I do admit it's taken them longer then usual to add level 60 but if I remember correctly level 39 had a very long wait time as well. I think they will release level 60 over the summer time when there are no new episodes are airing.

only problem with this minievents is the level required: in this one you need moe so level 15. DSH was 20

I think Mayor Quimby is required for one of the parts, so players need to be Level 20 here too.

Think of levels as story progressions. Without them it feels like we're doing a lot of side quests. It's exciting to see a new iconic characters and building be added and seeing a new higher level become available. No is complaining about a lack of content. I don't think anyone I stupid enough to do that. People are just wondering why it's been 5 months with nothing new in the level department.

Mind you we haven't gotten any FP prizes in a while too so it's not just limited to that one thing. I think they're doing this so new players can catch up. Lately there have been a wave of new players and I believe these extra few months were to help them catch up a bit.
