- Everyone who's having trouble with crashes: try plugging your device into a wall outlet (even if it says it's at full charge) before launching T.O. Each new update on this game seems to up the animations factor. All that falling snow and all those blinking lights suck up the processor cycles like crazy, and while plugging in to an outlet won't improve your device's processor speed, I've found that extra bit of juice can help with a device that's struggling.
But if your device is older than a year, it simply might not be able to handle the large amount of data processing this game requires when you're dealing with large towns and lots of animations *cough*Arnie Pye in the Sky*cough*. - Wow they are finally showing up on the Origin app! For some reason they didn't before. Maybe it was outdated. Thanks guys!
- Hey guys, I was having this same problem today, very frustrating. I didn't realize it but I had over 200 friend requests AND over 300 requests I had made to others pending as well. I logged in on my mac and took a VERY long time getting rid of all that, it took about 10 second per name to delete. But when I was done, I had no more crashing issues. So, if you can log into Origin on your computer, try deleting those requests. Hopefully it will help.

Interesting, that friend requests can cause your game to crash even if you're not in the 'neighbors' area. Curiouser and curiouser!- I've been having crashing issues since Halloween. I've made room on my Ipad and made sure other apps were not running but it still crashes 30-60 seconds once in Springfield. Once I start back up it works fine. Same thing happens on my iphone.
That is annoying but something I can deal with. I hope when this current issue is fixed, my mini crashes will get fixed also. - HEY EA YOU F.UCKING HACKS!! WHY GO THROUGH ALL THE TROUBLE OF THIS UPDATE IF IT KEEPS CRASHING????
FIX THE S.HIT NOW!! THIS IS BUSH LEAGUE BS!!!
YOU BET YOUR SWEET A.SS IT DIDN'T CRASH WHEN YOU WERE TAKING MY MONEY FOR DONUTS!
GET IT TOGETHER - Any ideas on a fix? I tried reinstalling app. All devices have the same issue. Killing me. Wanna play but can't. Come on ea
- I have nonstop crashing all day. I used the tip of deleting the friend requests on Origin on my PC. It worked. Yeah. I can't believe it. It took me over a half hour to delete 390 requests but well worth it. I should also say it took me 4 tries to even download the Origin app and even then I continued to get a message that I must be online which I was. Try it people. Good luck.
- We've got to face it. The crashing didn't come with the update. It is happening (as several knowledgable posters have stated) because we allowed several friend requests to build up in our Origin accounts. It took me a little while to download Origin and complete the deletes, but after doing so, my town works better than it has for months. We have to be cognizant of the invite build ups from now on. I'm glad there are some honest people who are helping others log onto their accounts. I just hope noone takes advantage and rips them off and steals their town.

Well said.
I take back all the angry comments I made.
My lack of paying attention to invites seems to have caused my own mess.
On the bright side, I now have a town that is better than ever and a new update to boot.
My Krustyland even loads now!
Thanks again to pointing out this was my own fault.
