Ya I tried to do this but with 700 friend requests it won't load.
The little circle load icon just keeps spinning and spinning.

Keep trying. I had to close the application and retry like 10 times before I got it to load neighbors.
It was well worth it though as my Springfield and Krustyland are both crash free now.

on a 4s here, not too many problems. the occasional crash here and there, but definitely not unusable.

You would know if it's unplayable... Every 5-20 seconds you would have to reconnect.

quicker? if you can get your requests to somehow cancel or get ignored then I would love to be in your shoes.

I spoke with Origin support regarding the friend list not loading. They told me they had "never seen this before." The guy took a screen shot and escalated...no resolution :(
