Not enough time?

I played this game pretty much everyday and did Number 1's tasks and everything and I am short about 2k emblems? Am I the only one who feels like there wasn't enough time to get everything? (P.S. I am not spending donuts)

Thank you!

Just taken photo of my town with my total and I didnt spend any donuts to speed anything up or to get something extra besides the pyramid(which I got on Saturday so 100% non factor in the number)
I also started at level 27 and got to where I'm at so I can have all the characters required for the scrolls within 2 weeks time.

Everyone had plenty of time to get everything done. So did you.

I visited you, every day, through the entire event. 3 taps per. Can you say that you reciprocated?

    Stones and glass houses, man.

    Oh well -- it's just a game...

This is a point that seems to get lost a lot here.

I am finished with this event, because university ended the day before the event hit, and it has helped distract me from waiting on my results. If university had lasted another two weeks I wouldn't have been able to. Either way, life moves on. On the other hand, I didn't get anywhere near finishing Whacking Day last year, in spite of an extension, so I have seen the other side too and, guess what. Life moved on.

EA gives us a time limited event, sometimes I will have the time to put in to completing it, sometimes not, either way life moves on.

If EA extend this one, fine ... it doesn't penalise me for having completed it ahead of time and gives more chances for free donuts. If not, it isn't really penalising those who didn't complete due to real-life pressures, it is just one of those things that happens when a event has a set end-time. C'est la vie.

After all ... it is only a game.
  • I think the crucial point here is having active neighbours. And that's down to you to ensure you've refreshed your list before the event (I still don't have a full list of active neighbours as ones I've added seem to have either given up part way through or completed the event with donuts and have then gone inactive - and that's cool. Nothing I hate worse than people dictating what neighbours should do).

I'm not quite as dedicated as some people (interrupting sleep patterns??!?), but finished with nearly 50,000 emblems and a good number of bonus donuts. Pretty easy if you log-in for a few moments here and there.

People complain the game doesn't keep updating us with new content so keeping events going makes no sense to me.
  • It's all about the neighbors visiting you. And I mean 100 neighbors. I didn't even hunt lodges when visiting, didn't finish the 4th task every day (let's say 70% of the total), didn't speed up anything. I lost the first week of the event plus 5k emblems at a certain point, yet I made to 35k three days ago.

A big factor is not your neighbors but how fast you tap the spy's! Tap right away get 5 per spy tap, later get only 1! Those that made over 50,000 probably had neighbors all in the same or close time zones!
  • anyone who doesn't have at least 20-30 visiting neighbours a day will struggle to complete it in time.

the 15 emblems each neighbour can potentially give you if you clear it in time really adds up
