Nuking Question

I've been considering nuking my town and redesigning it. Has anyone done this yet, and is there a downside? Meaning lost items. I'm really worried about losing buildings or decorations.

I've had (pretty much) the same town for MONTHS and I'm ready for a change.

Input? Successes? Failures?

I'm a bit nervous about doing it, so any advice would be appreciated.

(To my neighbors... this won't happen until after the event. You'll still have buildings to tap. Promise!)

Hi I nuked my town a couple of month back with no issues. I have to say though putting it all back if you have a lot of stuff is very time consuming. I would take screen shots of any bits you want to make sure you put back as you want them. Or you forget about nuking and just shuffle stuff about. That is what I do now. If you decide to go through with it. Make sure you leave plenty for your neighbours to tap.You are also better off doing it after an update. You should have time to make at least some progress before the next update hit.

Not seen anyone say they have lost anything through nuking for a good while now. :)

Thank you, Brevis. You've given me some great advice! :)
  • I nuked my town a few months ago, and didn't lost anything. The only bad thing was that it took days to put it all back in place. xD Now I just move things around until it looks good. :P
  • I nuked my KL - it was overwhelming at first and took a long time to put back together. That was worth it, as I had never put much effort into my design there. It would be hard for me to imagine nuking my SF though
  • Thank you both! "Overwhelming" seems to be a common problem. I might have to think about this a little more.
