Don’t forget that they also nerfed anakin because who would believe a team of (ahem, ftp) Jedi could kill a (suddenly released and expensive) sith empire squad??? Now, a bunch of janky droids, you bet!
Anyway, Jedi Bastila is a great lead against that droid squad.

People complain there's only one team in the meta, then complain there's a different team that their meta team can't beat. And the cycle continues.

You can totally beat nuke teams with DR. You just need to make sure Grievous is feared or stunned before you kill one of his dudes.

Try to remove BB-8's taunt without killing him

Without Malak you’re going to have a hard time beating a team that’s a hard counter to DR. With Malak you just open up with DR’s aoe shock then wild lightning from Badstila. Properly modded that will wipe 2-3 of them out, including BB8 so you can hit GG with Malak’s special after GG retaliates. 100% health damage works wonders against GG.

It's GG z and Relic lv. The meta is changing

You shouldn’t fight a hard counter to a team with the team it hard counters..

That being said, I personally use JKR, GMY, Jolee, Han and Chewie to take care of those GG nuke teams while climbing everyday. And no, none of them are G13 and thus no relics. The mechanics of Chewie and JKR alone are enough to capitalize on GG’s massive health pool and marked mechanics + ignoring taunts respectively.

There’s no point in fighting them with a SE line up when you can just switch to whatever you need in order to climb in arena.

As for them nerfing EP so it couldn’t beat SE, that’s not really what happened. They didn’t nerf EP, they buffed MALAK because EP was able to destroy the most overpowered cash grab character in the game at the time. Darth Revan with no Malak can still very much be beaten by EP. The turn meter gain engine is only stopped by Malak’s kit.

How about using a different team? It's not like anyone is forcing you to use DR vs GG nuke.

That's because the Palp + Vader combo is incredibly F2P friendly and was beating the latest meta team (DR) back then without the DR team taking a single turn due to Palp's TM train. It was a hilarious oversight by the devs (but at least there's a beta tester program on the horizon...somewhere in 2022....) and got an immediate "fix" with the quick release of Malak.
Now that several months have passed we're at the edge of a new meta (whatever that'll be, maybe 501st but who knows..) and the devs no longer care about DR.
