That's a brilliant shot. I used fairy lights for my first attempt, not quite experienced enough for nature though. Yeh I don't use photoshop either. It never gives the desired effect. I use it to trim and maybe help with toning down light etc, but no touch ups. I'd never learn that way.
The bokeh is achieved with DoF and understanding where to place the sunlight. The sun was shining through the leaves of a tree behind the dragonfly.
