The fact that he is holding the large, cumbersome donut that requires very little fine motor skills in his left hand tells me he is right-handed. I'm right-handed, and when I'm carrying things into my house, I hold them with left hand. That way my right hand is able to open the screen, insert the key into the lock, turn it, and open the door. Same with most things: you naturally want your least dominant hand holding the load while your dominant hand is free to do the tasks requiring motor skills. Heck, I'm holding my iPad right now with my left hand while typing with my right.
