Getting the new SH lots via the prescribed event method is a LONGGGGGGGGGGGG slog. If you have the cash and donuts, go the rat trap truck route - produce donuts, buy a lot and collect the treasure donuts along the way. From my experience, it's about a 10% return on the donuts spent and the game cash (of course) has little use now anyway, so that's no loss and easily replaced (assuming your collider is on full time). I'm in the process of buying all the lots next to the center mountains - all the way to the northern border - and now have one monorail that runs almost 10 minutes. Feels good to use some of the 8000 monorail sections I have in storage.
