Redesign and preparing for the update

:D I plan to gut my town and begin again.

I want to wait until the new update but I feel too impatient and want to do it now :(
Need to do it when I have tons of time because moving stuff around, takes ages!

Lol Whenever I place anything in storage my game now crashes.. but it doesn't crash from moving around otherwise.
If it starts crashing from too much stuff I'm screwed..... D:

I can't get on the game since around 15hrs ago. It can't connect to the servers. Anyone else?

+1 - redesign started Sunday night...well, the storing started then, the redesign has yet to start...

My Springfield is absolutely gorgeous at the moment... open fields at the perimeter and a big mess of buildings in the South. I crammed them together like puzzle pieces and would have stacked them on top of each other if I could. It is breathtaking, really, in that "I'm so disgusted that I'm hyperventilating" sort of way...

Please just stick to the Southwest corner of my town where the coins are until I get this all straightened out.

I think it is staying, due to the Update File Peeker's notes on a snow covered Burns Manor. But even without that, changing each and every decoration was a massive undertaking, so I imagine it would last for more than a month.

How's your snowscape redesign going?

So I'm not the only one too impatient to wait a couple of days to start moving things around. I'm not sure if the update will come on the 10th or not. I just know that I'm trying to stick a bandaid on this crashing in the hopes that I don't run into too many problems when the mystical update does happen.

I've got this vision of turning my town into an homage to New Orleans and by gosh, I'm going to make it happen lol.

Spiff and Simpsons -- I have indeed noticed the changes. I giggled a bit at them because I know I'm about to do the same. Starting right now, right this minute, going to do it.

I noticed that the last time I visited, Spiff. It had an post-apocalypse, colony type feel to it.

My layout is done, and the laggy issue seems to have sorted itself out, but I really want to add the finishing touches but I can't do this until the snow melts. :cry: I'm so uninspired by my town at the min. I'm finally in a position to buy what I need to make it as I want it to be, and I can't do a damn thing. Oh please Mr sunshine......put your hat on.

I have a grand vision in my head to completely redesign my town, in a really civil planning way, kind of like Paris.

Town Hall smack dab in the middle, with a grand park; all the commercial stuff in the ring around it; with all the houses on the outside of that in distinct suburbs; the prison and power plant far on the outskirts.

I don't know how quickly this vision will be implemented. My concern is that "smack dab in the middle" always changes once you buy new land.

Until then, it remains in development, Magnum style.
