I have a grand vision in my head to completely redesign my town, in a really civil planning way, kind of like Paris.
Town Hall smack dab in the middle, with a grand park; all the commercial stuff in the ring around it; with all the houses on the outside of that in distinct suburbs; the prison and power plant far on the outskirts.
I don't know how quickly this vision will be implemented. My concern is that "smack dab in the middle" always changes once you buy new land.
Until then, it remains in development, Magnum style.

Sounds like you need a town square. For speeches and snowmobiling! This one used to be in the middle but with an ever growing town this tend to shift. Its not that tricky to find the actual centre, but then if you place it there you will have to wait to get all land before its your opening scene, and by the time you get there you probably changed your mind and rearranged everything again (a few times).mike_bornste wrote:

Buy all the way across, it seems to me that the center is based more off that axis than the up/down.
Spent 20 minutes storing things and I've only finished 1 corner! OYE! This is a huge undertaking lol but it's rather fun demolishing things.Ankarstroom wrote:

I'm of the belief that the centre is the point that first appears when you enter a town and to me, that centre should be the showpiece of your town.
I can't stand visiting a friend's town and being confronted by house farm right off the bat.Ankarstroom wrote:

Well.....lol....that's partly why I made this post. At the moment, when you visit my town? You get a farm because I wanted my friends to be able to find the coin houses. All 8 brown houses, Flanders, Simpsons, and 1 of each type of house along with things that come with characters are crammed into the landing zone while I store things.
Then once that is done, I'll start planning out my canals and waterways to make it look like Simpsonized New Orleans....tribute to my home state! So I don't see this remodeling being done for a couple of days since I can only work on it on my off days.mike_bornste wrote:

Would you look at that!!! Someone called me MR.!!! And they weren't even referring to my father! I feel so important.
Hey, wait a second.....or does this mean that he thinks I'm old? Aww man....- LOL everything is in storage....there is a sea of white in my town.
But guess what?
I'm no longer crashing!
LOL put everything in storage and you stop crashing. Doesn't that sound like a fun way to play? No? Yeah, I don't think so either.
Now to figure out where I'm putting everything now that I've destroyed my town.
