When I complained about hunting down invaders in neighboring towns? I take it back. This current scheme is an even bigger pain in the ****. With so few buildings that you can tap I wind up hunting all over people's towns (except for those clever enough to put out a batch of event tappable buildings like Brown Houses or Kwik-E-Marts) trying to find SOMETHING to tap. And I have to go through my entire neighbor list so that they'll see my name and come to my town and tap something here.At least with the invaders I could do 33 neighbors and call it quits for the day. It's not like they'd know I didn't visit them. Or that it mattered...

The one thing you have to do during an event like this is clean your own town often. Clean clean clean so that people who visit you always have something to tap. Put brown houses by the airport to maximize tapping etc. The only thing to do besides that really is to unfriend those who don't clean their town often, have small towns, don't put brown houses next to their entry points, etc.... I probably got rid of 10 neighbors during this event but added at least 15 to 20 awesome :D new ones! It's all how you look at it the glass has got to be Half full or you stop enjoying the game ;)

I threw down a bunch of Kwik-E-Marts beside my airport early in the event for this very reason. Most of my neighbors tap there so it seems to be doing the job.

Strange thing is I've got two neighbors that never have anything to tap, yet the game often shows them having played in the past hour or two. Does this maybe mean they are clearing too aggressively and they have lots of active neighbors?

No so bad for me, neighbours have been putting down brown and white houses near the airport. Most of those are forum members. I've done the same putting down some brown houses for this event.
And thanks Wadebear, the word remember has just reminded me that it's my wedding anniversary in a few days, so I will be off today to get a present for the wife. :smiley:

I placed a teleporter next to my airport and another at my Simpson house so neighbors can tap brown houses and other tappable buildings nearby

I never noticed the teleporter. I always just head to Squidport. If I remember, I will use the teleporter next time.

I didn't realize teleporters work in neighbor towns. :o Never even thought to try!

we need more tappables.

I cottoned on to the brown buildings being tappable early on through visiting neighbours and decided to put a few brown houses right next to and by the side of my terminal, vast majority of visitors use them, occasionally the nearby shops attract one or two..

I have a couple of neighbours, where for some reason, I like to go to a specific point and tap the same three buildings every day, don't do it with all of them, just a couple, but it feels like now, that if I click somewhere else, it might upset their routine....haha....I know they always call at mine and at one point made an effort to tap the same three things I did on the camera task (FTR I think that is when it all started, I made a point of hitting the cameras on the power plants three sections in every town during that event wherever possible)
