Remember how many times I argued with you guys about limited time content returning?

I should have made this bragging topic a few days ago. But in the loudest possible Nelson voice, I give everyone who argued against me a giant HAHA! I told everyone that limited time doesn't mean one time only. Limited time will return if EA feels it should or feels they could make extra money from it. The worst argument I heard against it was that it would "devalue" the item or something like that. I guess all of your Fat Tony's are now devalued. I also heard that they won't rush to buy anymore limited time items if any get re-released. I guess you're now going to pass on all limited time content, right? LOL.

Fat Tony was a limited time non-premium item.

So one limited time item coming back makes you right? You must be so proud of yourself. When all other limited items come back, pat yourself on the back.

Oh the damage control. Face it, limited time stuff will be coming back eventually. Naysayers lose!
  • Sorry, can't hear you over the roaring engine of my Duff Racer! ;)

I've always though many of the things would come back, eventually. EA knows if they add them in more people will keep playing. You aren't saying anything many others have already said.

    Ha ha. Nice.
  • To answer your question: no, I don't remember anything about you.

I'm glad to get a Fat Tony, though.
  • A youtube user made a pub apk file today that allows the purchase of old event items and limited time items for android devices.

Old event items, LE items, episode tie ins, basically any premium item is no longer a status item or special snowflake thing for oldbie iphone players.

Obviously I dont condone the use of such things or recommend anyone hunts for it. homemade or edited apk's can be a little dodgy for your phone (if you do banking on it for example). Also it undermines the effort of the developers of this game.

You do realize that they're doing this largely in part for Android users and to truth be told just because Fat Tony was brought back doesn't mean we'll see any of the other limited time items, probably the best example would be certain episode tie in content like the Duff Racer, Cool Brown House and Bat Burns to name a few. And when it comes to Halloween - Valentine's content there is just SO much that as an Android user myself I'm starting to seriously wonder how EA will reintroduce all of it without essentially just repeating it and in the process * off iOS users.

Well, the Mayan God & Stone, and the Supercollider were technically tie in episode content as well, so they will probably not come back.

The cemetaries I could see coming back. They wouldn't necessary bring EVERYTHING back or NOTHING, they'll probably pick and choose, if anything.

Christmas, they already had heaps of that stuff remain as Premium.

Valentines, I have no idea about, but there was only three buildings, and Shauna...the buildings wouldn't be hard to repeat as extras, they'll probably find a different love interest to replace Shauna.

Was Fat Tony ever billed as 'Limited Time', for purchase, though? He just became available to me, it never said anything about 'Limited Time'. We should probably wait for more data before jumping to conclusions.

  • I do think it's likely we'll see the premium limited time stuff resold at some point. As has been argued to death, EA is a business out to make money. They paid employees to design, create, and animate the LT premium stuff, and I'm sure they realize it would serve to make them more profit to re-release it (at least among those who started playing after the holidays). I also wouldn't be surprised to see the free or premium episode specific stuff re-released for the same reason, but now costing donuts for the stuff that was previously free.

It makes good business sense, and would please many late comers like myself. And so as not to * off the elitists who bought it originally, I'd have no problem paying extra for the previously released LT donut items that are no longer available. This way if you bought it originally at least you got it cheaper.

And again, Limited Time is not the same as One Time Only.
  • I don't see your point? He was a free character given to players who played the week before he was released. He wasn't a premium. It is slightly insulting that everyone has a fat tony now, because it is nice to have things to show how long you have played for, but no one is complaining, because we didn't pay for him. I haven't seen any content you have to pay for, that was discontinued, return for free. I highly doubt any premium would ever be released for free, because it would be a spit in he face to those who paid for them. Besides, the majority of the main stream characters are in play. When the game was released, it did not have half the characters it does now. I am sure the developers would rather bring back a special time character that people know, like Fat Tony, than give out a premium or an obscure character.

I award you 0 point. I feel stupider for reading your thread.
