Just got a version of the first image with a different sign in name. Instead of using Logout, I force closed TSTO. When I relaunched, it had me as that previous name at level 1 on the left side in the login screen. I logged out there and then logged in with my correct email & password. I got the "WARNING! Your other device didn't save your Springfield. Please sign into that device before playing." I chose Play Now and got "PLAY ANYWAY? Some progress may be lost." and chose Continue.
No progress was lost, so I went to Krustyland, synced and returned to Springfield. Force closed the game again and relaunched with it holding my correct login info and back into my game with no problems. Not sure if this might be helpful for anyone else but it worked for me.
