- I think the game will have ended before then. As soon as the money coming in doesn't match the Simpson's license cost the plug will be pulled.
- Marine World I Mean We Have Snorky time to give him his home and Hugo, The Monkey Paw Vendor, and The Frogurt Guy But we don't know quite early to be discussing thou isn't it
- Nightmare Willy would be awesome. Although I gather Dracula, Frankenstein et al is a no go rights wise.
How about a 3D Homer skin, the Great Pumpkin, Hell's Labs.
Or a whole side quest where Lisa gets debigulated into the Genesis Tub and its a whole other town you can build (I admit that's rather ambitious) - I want the cone that hits homer when he's in 3D world, and the shining homer or willie perhaps.
- bluyoshi88810Seasoned NewcomerI wanted Werewolf Ned to appear. Surprised that wasn't brought up yet.

Wouldn't they all be in the public domain by now?
The characters themselves are fully public domain, anybody can create content with those characters as long as they have original appearances or stories. The only thing you can't do is exatly copy the character as depicted / portrayed by someone else in a copyrighted work. If you've ever watched MAD TV you'd soon realize that spoofing otherwise copyrighted characters / works is still okay ... I can guarantee you that MAD TV is not paying licensing fees for every single actor / character / movie that they make fun of.jacko_9997 wrote:
Trick or treating skins maybe? That then could be part of how you earn whatever the halloween currency would be?
That is kind of how Christmas worked, you would buy skins for the houses which, in turn, would increase the number of Christmas coins you were generating. I am surprised they never really did that again.jacobjdevore wrote:

The licensing fee can't be that high because Tapped Out has exceeded EA's wildest expectations and the cost structure for the game was designed with those initial projections in mind. I'm not suggesting whether Tapped Out will or will not be around for another year. I just can't see licensing fees being an issue considering the myriad of significantly less popular licensed peers.

If the game's profitability were in trouble, I think we'd see more direct overtures from EA to buy/spend donuts. So far during this event, it seems to be business as usual. Until we see more frequent donut sales and premium content prices drop, I think the game's doing just fine.
This is good to know. I was beginning to wonder if all these free donuts were a signal of some sort ... but then again this is the first and only game of this type I've played.
Edit: I briefly tried the Sims Social thingy. I didn't like it and I don't have Facebook, so, I forgot I tried it.Aennilya wrote:

I see the free donuts as a sign, that EA is making huge amounts of money and they are now giving back to they comunity.- Vampires.
We've had zombies last year, ghosts this year, so for next year, it could be vampires. Instead of Goo, they can drop Blood vials. Then we can get Vampire Bart and Vampire Marge. :)
