At least for me, once I crossed that line between struggling for every bit of in-game cash I could tap, to the point where money just didn't become an issue any more was the biggest game changer. That happened almost instantly with no transition. So I think a veteran player is someone who is not concerned about their funds.

I have no personal reference but this was put forward by one of the SF millionaires in an old thread of mine :) I can't wait for that sudden trip from SF rags to riches! House farming would be a step in the backwards direction if you are only starting it now, I think, but I might just be prejudice because I think it looks hideous :P

    None of the above.

For me, it was almost entirely thanks to the handshake stacking glitch with Channel Six and Arnie Pye, and awesome faithful neighbors. I even had a dozen or so who were willing to do triple-tapping. Do the math. At $7500 per tap, over $22,000 per triple-tapping neighbor ...

A gift from heaven. Had nothing to do with "hard work" or strategy. Just good ol' Arnie and good neighbors.

A huge advantage over those players who came along too late to take part. :(

I was also lucky enough to make a ton of in game cash with the stacking glitches. But I'm also a grinder, I mean a really hard grinder. If you have the time (yeah right, who does?) set your characters on one hour tasks. Keep grinding and the money will come. Granted, this just doesn't work for a lot of people.

Early in my game, I was also keen to spend whatever doughnuts I could on multipliers, they really help!
  • I hate house farming. It just makes a town look ugly. But, I understand why some players do it, it's just not for me. I had almost $20 million before I bought the revolving restaurant. I do have a lot of premium stuff, but I don't have near as much as others. And my multiplier is just above 100%. So I guess the way I made my money is just playing the game. For a long time. 8)

Excellent points. And now that I have enough money ($20 million or so) I can set my characters on the visual tasks I like best regardless of task length. Duffman on his Segway for 6, the boys in purple wigs and Kirk protecting crops for 16, Chalmers in a dress for 10, Texan on mechanical bull for the same, Burns swimming for 4, and four Stonecutters singing at the table for 12. And lots more. Not needing to grind is a nice perk. :)
  • I'm rich (in the game) and I think it just takes time. I did have a small house farm for a few months but I can't imagine that made a big difference.

Enjoy what you have now because it gets really boring when you own everything and have nothing left to buy (or work towards). I purchased the new 10 million restaraunt which was great. I hope they release more of those types of items - I still have 6 million to spend.

  • I used to have to much $$ and nothing to buy - then I bought tons of bloodmobiles to level up and get me donuts........ now I'm on the way back up again....
  • just be patient and enjoy the ride. once you have everything there is less to do
  • There's a lot of comments of 'tricks' used to build money. The real truth is those of us who have been here from the start dealt with a lot of free time between updates initially. We build up cash and XP because there was nothing else to do. I built up $60 million without a cheat, hack, or a jailbroken phone. Patience and persistence, and you will be rewarded. You can't compare yourself at 6 months of playing with someone who's been playing for over 2 years.
  • House farms, time, 112 per cent multiplier. I love my white house farm. I have enough in-game cash to buy whatever I want whenever it is available. Been playing one year-ish.
  • I'm a level 42 player and I usually never have more than 2 or 3 million. I do own all the land, all the cash buildings, some premium buildings/characters, 48.05% bonus and no house farming done here. If I am very active with my Tapping I earn about $300,000 a day between tasks, collecting and visiting my neighbors. Currently I am at 7 million but I am saving up for Sit N Rotate.
