Alright, I have now bought the ocean square too.

So I am level 15 (nearly 16) and have all character free from tasks. I don't have Bart yet, I am just finishing the control building.

From everything I have read the guides all say "Homer starts Squidport". I haven't seen any requirements listed anywhere to have any other quests done.

Any input would be great thanks.

Oh :? That's lame........I really don't know dude I was lvl30+ so it all just unlocked you know :mrgreen:

Just keep following the storyline and it'll appear eventually. No need to rush to SP, it is permenant and the questlines created are pretty average

True but I am just wondering why and how I do open it since all the walk through/guides don't highlight any required quests etc.

I also read the tiles take forever to earn hence my desire to get started on them sooner rather than later

There is a level requirement as well, but I can't remember what. I think it is level 10 but I'm not positive.

Is the Squidport sign in your questbook? If it is, click the "Do it" for the task. It says Homer prompts the sign, which if you completed the land part of it, he should prompt that next.

Perhaps send him on a quest (like the 45 second one) and see if that retriggers it.
