I've had this since last night. I was moving a lot of my town around & it's that whole section that is now animated. Flags flying, butterflies flying, steel mill lit up. Flags & trees in other parts of town are not animated so I assumed it was because I had moved them? Nice to see the animations. I tried moving the flags in other sections to start them flying but it didn't work :(

I have this in my town every once in a while. It's been going on as long as I can remember.

Is it any specific area of your map? That is, for those who are experiencing this phenomenon (AWESOME, btw) maybe it is the same area on many Springfields. Like, is it near your Landing Zone? Or do you need to move toward the water, or toward the mountains, or toward the corner where the water meets the mountains, or toward the end of the mountains furthest from the water, or ??? Can you describe, in general, where it is happening? I don't see it in my town, but I have no way of knowing whether that's just because I don't have the right decorations in the right, "animated" area.Would love to see it! :)

For me it's just random. I assumed everyone has this. I usually notice it when the catapult from CoC is repeatedly firing a cat or the marge tetherball thing is going, but it can be anything with its animation on autopilot. I often have Sequel Stop or the windmills from CoC, anything really.

Yeah, another possibility is that it's being triggered by a particular structure. Like, everything within a certain radius from the Nuclear whatchamacallit plant or towers. But to find that out, we'd need screencaps of the animated area in a sampling of affected towns, and then play a game of "Where's the aura coming from?" Or maybe EA is testing out something awesome, like keeping our towns animated, but they haven't fully implemented it.

Strange phenomenon in my town....anyone else???

Aww. I immediately thought that the wrought iron fence side was an entry gate for the cars, and that the "Pride" sign was actually a walk-through gate that opened on a swivel. So, the factory employees would drive into the lot, park their cars, and walk from the parking lot to their job through that "Pride" sign gate. I thought that was a brilliant use of the Pride sign.

I was wondering how the factory employees managed to park so close together, and that guy parking perpendicular must have been very early to work to get his car into that little cranny. :)

A DMV impound lot is even better. :)

I love the pride gate view of the parking lot! I've come home a little drunk from a night out....if I was a little bit more sober I might have tried to claim that was my intention the whole time :)

47 G&Gs, 31 SFMs :mrgreen: Started tapping seriously just as they changed house prices. Wasn't really intending to farm, but the prices jumping sure slowed progress. Figure it was fate that a couple free farms showed up out of the blue.

Won't leave them out forever, but invaluable at the moment for shaping my town.

I don't blame you one bit. Most longer term players either had at one time, or still have but to a reduced extent, a large house farm. I feel bad for the newer players who have that option taken away from them. It makes it impossible to try and catch up over a few months.

So I would use all the Gas N Go's and Farmer's Markets I could to increase my bank if I had the option and the need. I actually really like the Gas N Go's and would place them throughout my town, to give some variety instead of only Kwik-E-Marts, if I had crafted some extras. I focused on cranking out cactus desert plots instead.

Glad to hear that opinion on limited farming from an early tapper.

Cranked out a a fair number of of the cactus patches and cane fields as well. Had only purchased a relatively small portion of land by the time Bob showed up. Using the income from the G&Gs to create a long highway out to a 5 corners area. Might be a bit more of a party spot than the "actual 5 corners."

It didn't occur to me to farm houses until I saw the forum but then reading others view on it I decided I would play without doing that. I got 5 of each house to get my indolence stars & I could store some now but I like my residential areas. With endless bob I got lots of cane fields (I posted a pic of my baseball field in the middle of the canes like the film Field of Dreams) I've got the walls all around my stage with lots of seats. & I've got 2 large farmers market areas & plenty of cactus. My mosarno complex is pretty big too & there's still lots in storage, if they paid out then they would be in my town. I got enough bonus donuts to buy both crazy cat lady & duff brewery too :)

General consensus here regarding house farming is do as you please with your town and the heck with everyone else's thoughts. People who don't like them they are in the minority, you will find some that hate them but the vast majority are just fine with them since most here have had to farm at one point or another.

Plus if a neighbor drops you for having a house farm there are plenty of others willing to be your neighbor, the forum and thread seeking requests is filled will new and willing neighbors 8)

I hope this works...just opened my game to find the phenomenon going on in a new place. I hope you can see willies truck smoking, the book shredder going, the horses eyes blinking in the shed, the stores etc..this is the first time it has happened here.

As you can probably tell, I was trying to post a picture of it.

I have had this happen repeatedly. Typically it is around the vicinity of my space collider . The tree will be sucked in the window, the homer car will be flashing lights, the catapult will be repeatedly flinging back and forth and smoke is rising from the old Simpson farm.
In other locations, butterflies are floating above the greenhouse , and the windows from the rigillean hut are blowing air out the windows . I have also had the sequel stop store flash its screen with the hammer video playing.

:oops: only started playing 6 months ago, worked really hard on all events so far & I've got 5 stars & top level/finished quests all fair & square in that time so I don't feel guilty about taking advantage on that event. Wish I could pass them on to people that couldn't get them. Shame the farmers market didn't turn out to be a trading post to sell items to neighbours as they will be going into storage soon.

They were teasing you. Johncolombo undoubtedly could put your collection of Endless Bob booty to shame. He is, like, our Glitch Godfather. He sets the bar to which we all aspire. As you can see from the depiction below, it is a very low bar, and many of us still have trouble reaching it.
