Thought of one thing, it sounds like you've cached your last action somewhere i.e. on server or device I'm not sure.
I'd try these things first before contacting EA just so you don't lose crafting:
- see if you can quickly do something else before it happens, i.e. open your inventory and place something or go to friends screen
- if you decide to uninstall again, do a full uninstall/reinstall
-> log out of game
-> make sure you clear data/cache of the app first.
-> uninstall
-> restart device
-> reinstall and login to origin
