I totally disagree with the idea that EA wouldn't jump at this. It costs EA nothing out-of-pocket, and represents guaranteed, automated income rather than hit-or-miss expenditures. There could be reasonable caps set on benefits, some program details that would give even more extra perks for one MORE dollar, special rates for annual contracts, yadda yadda.
Businesses understand spending habits, customer habits (like forgetting to track tiny automatic debits, and not getting around to canceling a subscription, long after they stop getting any use out of it.) Heck, cellphone companies give away free iPhones for a serviceplan.
Those of us who are careful with our money now won't be their target audience -- they'd get lots of people who might never spend $20 on a bunch of imaginary donuts but see a two-dollar expenditure every single month as noting at all.
If it were MY business, I'd do this in a flash. It is, literally, money in the bank. That's my opinion, and I'm sticking to it. :)
