Suggestions: monorail update needed!

Nah, it's really about patience. The Monorail was months ago, so I think there are very few people who don't have enough straight tracks, and most are already finished.

I agree re: patience. You'll eventually have too many track pieces of each kind. The most fun in it for me was trying to navigate the track through my town using the curvy pieces and /not/ moving buildings around to do it. Then as my stockpile of straight pieces grew I slowly fixed/re-arranged sections I wasn't happy with.

In any case, I doubt EA will be building any sort of track trading system when the problem resolves on its own after a few months of collecting pieces anyway.

I would like an update though with the following
- another freemium station (Vegas-themed would have been nice, but...)
- tracks through the mountains to go to SH and back!

Absolutely...just be patient & let your design go with the flow.

alapalme is totally right that before you know it you'll have so much monorail track that you won't know what to do with it all. For me, it's all about getting my free donuts. I'm sitting on a bunch of unused track: 79 long, 166 curved, 69 s-curve, 164 short and I have no plans to use any of it.

I like the idea of not having everything planned out...that's saying a lot since I'm probably one of the most organized, planning oriented people you'll ever meet. :lol:

I understand EA's reasoning for awarding random track pieces, as this keeps people engaged and playing on a more frequent basis, but it is quite frustrating to constantly be getting curved and s pieces. I just got the five random pieces and only one was a straight piece. I would gladly exchange the hundreds of curved tracks, even at a ratio of 10 curved for one straight, just to progress with my monorail a little bit faster. My monorail is quite elaborate and I don't expect it to be completed for another year anyway. Hopefully EA will implement something to make it slightly better, but if not, oh well, I will still keep playing regardless.

I didn't manage to complete the whole Monorail because I didn't have enough donuts for some of the things.

It would be nice to have the pieces that were sold for donuts change them into cash, that way you're not wasting donuts and can save those for something else you want in the store.

I am really disappointed that I never got chance to finish it :( there are a few parts I do miss a lot that would come back again like the Stonecutters and make the person pay cash instead of donuts per Stonecutter... that would be really nice.

I'd love a track exchange. I'm trying to make a loop all the way around the outer edge of my town and I haven't even managed enough straight pieces to make it across the top of the map. Actually kind of sick of trying too since there's been too many weeks I've made it all the way to the bonus donuts and not gotten a single straight track.
