- If you remove some of your decorations, it will make your game work better. Also, I found it best to collect from all the houses first. The less stuff you have on the screen the better.
- Thanks for the advice but the game was absolutely fine before the update, little to no lag at all. There's always a small amount of lag here and there but not like this. They need to fix this and fast. It's starting to make my brain hurt.
- What update?
- They wont fix it. You will either have to remove some items from your town, get a device with a faster processor i.e. a tablet, or maybe play during the down times like early morning.

Its not our devices. I'm playing on a rooted tablet that worked just fine a half hour before the update. I know the game has to process all the decorations but when my town was fine before update I don't know what's wrong.rosharkey802 wrote:

Same here, I know it's not my device as I'm playing on a Nexus 7 and it was FINE before the update and I'm nowhere near the item limit.
Just checked in on my town and the lag seems to stop and start randomly, I thought it might be to do with people visiting but nothing's been haunted... weird. It's playable though so I guess that's something.- Went to a friend's town and it was like watching a movie from the 1930's
15 frames per second at best. That was sad. - Lag is unbearable since start of event, storing stuff daily, to little avail.
- I've been searching all over the internet about this flipping update. This awful lag happened just after the update so they broke something for sure.
It does work a little faster on my Nexus but on the iPad it moves in slow motion. It is playable but highly frustrating that I put it away. I can take a little random lag here and there because I have purchased all the land but this is ridiculous. So ridiculous to the point that I am so close to stop playing altogether. - Finally!
Turns out this lag is due to a stuck character that most likely happened after the update and most likely one of the trick-or-treating kids. I my case it was Bart and Nelson. Storing the Tree and Nelson's house and placing it back up cleared the lag.
The way I found out what characters are missing is to go on "edit" mode then make houses and decorations invisible and check each character. Bart and Nelson where nowhere to be seen.
