The Real Moms of Springfield: Walkthrough

The Real Moms of Springfield Intro

Auto starts

Ruth Powers: Marge! If it isn't my favorite blue-haired matriarch.
Marge: Ruth?! I thought you were in jail? Did you get out for good behavior?
Ruth Powers: No, I beat up six inmates while I was inside. But Quimby pardons ladies for a week every Mother's Day to be with their kids.
Quimby: Err, uh, you never know if any of them are mine.
Marge: Your mother?
Quimby: No, my kids.

Quest reward: $100 and 10 XP

The Real Moms of Springfield Pt. 1

Auto starts

Ruth Powers: Alright, ladies, first order of business... we need to form a coalition, something to sound more official.
Mrs. Prince: What about Movement of Mothers?
Bernice Hibbert: “MOMs” -- that does sound more official!
Ruth Powers: Ugh, fine. I guess it doesn’t matter what we’re called as long as we have equal rights--
Luann: But what about the gifts?!
Ruth Powers: Gifts? What gifts?
Luann: Every Mother's Day, Milhouse gives me some lame handmade candle. He tries to pass them off as “artisanal”, but the craftsmanship is abhorrent.
Mrs. Prince: My Martin gets all A's in his classes, but his Mother's Day Gifts are B.S.! Setting this right should be our first act!

Task: Collect Crappy Mother's Day Gifts
Task: Make Marge Rethink Her Participation
Time: 4h
Location: Simpson House

Ruth Powers: Come on, Marge, you must see through this. What means more to you... some cheap handmade tchotchke, or getting to join the military?
Marge: Hmm, I'm pretty sure I've already been in the military. I'm kind of leaning toward the well-thought-out gifts option.

Quest reward: $100 and 10 XP

The Real Moms of Springfield Pt. 2

Auto starts

Marge: It's... another one of those Kitchen Carnivals? Does this count as a repeat gift?
Homer: No, this one is a lot bigger. See? I deep-fried the old one for scale.
Bart: And I know I’ve given you macaroni art, but this is penne art!
Marge: Hrm, I think the other mothers were right. We need to reset the expectations for what good gift-giving looks like.
Ruth Powers: Again, I don't care about gifts. But I like your energy.

Task: Collect Crappy Mother's Day Gifts
Task: Make Marge Support the MOMs
Time: 4h
Location: Simpson House
If the user has Ruth Powers: Task: Make Ruth Powers Write New Deal 2.0
Time: 4h
Location: Simpson House

Ruth Powers: I'm ready to present the newest deal, New Deal 2.0. Are you ready to call the MOMs, Marge?
Marge: I don’t mind meeting at the coffee shop, but I don’t want to cause a ruckus. What if we distract an aspiring novelist who’s there working on the next great Hollywood adaptation?
Ruth Powers: Great art follows the revolution, and the revolution begins at the coffee shop at noon. Make sure to call ahead.

Quest reward: $100 and 10 XP

The Real Moms of Springfield Pt. 3

Auto starts

Ruth Powers: Welcome, MOMs, and let me first say that it moves me to see so many women here and ready to participate.
Helen Lovejoy: Oh, I'm just here to be as close to the drama as possible.
Gil: And I’m here because they let you use the restroom without buying anything.
Ruth Powers: See? This is the kind of male privilege I’m talking about.
Marge: Privilege? He’s using hand soap as hair gel...

Task: Collect Crappy Mother's Day Gifts
Task: Make MOMs Meet for Java
Time: 4h
Location: Jittery Joe's Coffee

Ruth Powers: Imagine a few days where the men of Evergreen Terrace were gone. Our quality of life would go through the roof!
Ruth Powers: Now, imagine if all the men left Springfield. Okay, now imagine a world of no men. Did I go too far?
Helen Lovejoy: I'm done imagining it --I’m ready for it to be a real thing!
Helen Lovejoy: My deadbeat husband only works one day a week!
Ruth Powers: Sounds like Helen is in. Who else is with me?!

Quest reward: $100 and 10 XP

In Pt. 3 DO NOT exceed 150 current or the quest will glitch out due to it requiring 200. In the jobs menu send enough people to collect just under 150, and then send the rest to get to 200, otherwise you won't be able to continue the questline. Alternatively you can send characters on the jobs manually from their job list.

The Real Moms of Springfield Pt. 4

Auto starts

Homer: I have to go to Weasel Island for the day? Last time I went there I got sick from drinking too much seawater.
Homer: Or not enough, I can’t remember which it was... or anything from that weekend.
Marge: Well, it's part of the proposal Ruth passed around. It's only for a day anyways.
Marge: That way all of us women can enjoy a brunch together, and then take the kids shopping for better gifts!
Marge: I think I might like this new era.

Task: Collect Crappy Mother's Day Gifts
Task: Make Men Vacate Neighborhood
Time: 4h
Location: Squidport Entrance or Brown House
Task: Make MOMs Enjoy a Better Life
Time: 4h
Location: Shops
Task: Make Youngsters Shop for Their Moms
Time: 4h
Location: Shops

Lisa: This is terrible! The only stores left at this mall are candle stores, candle booths and candle kiosks.
Bart: You're telling me. It’s no fun trying to shoplift from a kiosk.
Lisa: Ruth, how much longer is this going to last? I can't take anymore brunches -- the bottomless Shirley Temples are giving me cavities.
Ruth Powers: It'll last as long as we want it to. There’s no return boat from Weasel Island, so they'll meet any demands we set!
Ruth Powers: *maniacal laugh*
Lisa: It's time to use my most clever disguise: a wig and glasses!

Quest reward: $100 and 10 XP

The Real Moms of Springfield Pt. 5

Auto starts

Jake Boyman: Dad? Dad! I mean, Homer! If you don’t make nice with Ruth Powers, you’ll never make it back to Springfield!
Jake Boyman: You won’t get to see Mom, I mean your wife -- your daughter Lisa’s mother.
Jake Boyman: Man, farce is confusing...
Homer: I don’t know, it’s pretty sweet on this all-male island. We all threw our toothbrushes overboard as soon as we got into port!
Jake Boyman: Maybe you should talk to Mom on the phone.
Marge: Homer! I just wanted, like, one good manicure. I didn't mean for it to get this extreme.
Marge: You men need to be more thoughtful, but us moms can’t be so selfish either.
Homer: You’re right, Marge.
Homer: But as our last selfish act before we make things right, we’re going to stay here until AFTER Mother's Day!
Marge: Deal!

Task: Collect Crappy Mother's Day Gifts
Task: Make Men Agree to the Latest Deal
Time: 4h
Location: Simpson House
Task: Make Lisa and Bart Make a New Gift
Time: 4h
Location: Simpson House
Requires: Bart

Marge: So... Ruth might have pushed things, but at least it brought our family just a bit closer.
Homer: Not really, I bonded with a cool kid with awesome hair.
Lisa: That was me wearing a wig!
Homer: It couldn’t be! He was also wearing glasses!
Lisa: *rolls eyes*
Homer: I'm just glad we negotiated "extended island vacations" during Valentine's Day, anniversaries, and most birthdays.
Bart: Why come back at all?
Homer: That was one of the deals. Men have to be back to take the blame for how crummy all these holidays are. It's our civic duty.
Bart: Mom, Lisa and I wanted to give you these cookies we baked for you that turned out more like weird scones.
Marge: Aw, thanks, you two. You know I've kept every handmade gift you've given me in a special bin under the sink that I then take out to the curb. I can't wait to add this one.

Quest reward: $200 and 20 XP

Martin Needs a Tutor Pt. 1

Mrs. Prince starts

Mrs. Prince: Ugh, parent-teacher conferences today?! Can’t I just go to jury duty instead?!
Judge Snyder: Unfortunately, there haven’t been any violent crimes in Springfield lately, so I have to go too...
Skinner: Don’t worry, Mrs. Prince, this won’t take long...
Mrs. Prince: It’s true, my Martin is perfect.
Skinner: ...it won’t take long for me to say Martin needs a tutor.
Skinner: The mislead actually took more time than what I had to say.
Mrs. Prince: A tutor? What could he be failing? He studies so much he doesn’t even have friends.
Skinner: Exactly. School isn’t about grades anymore, it’s about networking.
Skinner: Don’t worry, I have the perfect tutor: who better to help Martin make friends than the only kid who volunteered to tutor in their spare time?

Task: Make Mrs. Prince Act Surprised
Time: 4h
Location: Springfield Elementary
Task: Make Jake Boyman Report to Skinner's Office
Time: 4h
Location: Springfield Elementary

Quest reward: $100 and 10 XP

Martin Needs a Tutor Pt. 2

Mrs. Prince starts

Jake Boyman: You want me, the new "new kid", to teach Martin how to be social?
Skinner: Exactly! As the new kid, you still have that aura of mystery and intrigue.
Jake Boyman: Really? Thank you...
Skinner: Plus your arms look too weak to give Martin a wedgie.
Mrs. Prince: If Martin’s getting a social makeover, I should probably get rid of his nerdy clothes and toys.
Jake Boyman: Actually, nerd chic is in these days.
Mrs. Prince: Good, then they’ll fetch a higher price.
Jake Boyman: Ugh, why couldn't I tutor something cool, like math?

Task: Make Mrs. Prince Hock Cheap Merchandise
Time: 4h
Task: Make Jake Boyman Study Real Math
Time: 12h
Location: Benches
Quest reward: $100 and 10 XP

Martin Needs a Tutor Pt. 3

Mrs. Prince starts

Jake Boyman: All right, tutoring session numero uno, on how to raise your social skills... my most familiar topic. Let's begin with-
Martin: Maslow's hierarchy of needs? A sense of belonging and validation of one's self?
Jake Boyman: What? No. I was going to start with-
Martin: Hygiene? Table manners? *gasp* Body language?!
Jake Boyman: Would you shut up!!
Jake Boyman: I mean, every friend group needs a quiet guy. Why don’t you try that?
Mrs. Prince: Sounds like tutoring is going great! I better make some of my patented oyster cakes!
Martin: You should get out of here, the last person who ate her oyster cakes ended up-- Oops, I forgot I’m supposed to be the quiet guy...

Task: Make Jake Boyman Fire Off
Time: 4h
Task: Make Mrs. Prince Prepare Oyster Cakes
Time: 12h
Location: Brown House

Lisa: It was me all along. There is no Jake Boyman.
Skinner: Darnit! Why do all our brightest students end up being in disguise or 40-year-old journalists writing exposés about the school?
Skinner: What made you break?
Lisa: I don’t know what was more off-putting, Martin’s desperation or his mother’s oyster cakes.

Quest reward: $200 and 20 XP

Twinception Pt. 1

Jerri Mackleberry starts

Jerri Mackleberry: It's been so long, I can't wait to see my family. Especially my twin daughters!
Terri: Did you miss us, Mom?
Jerri Mackleberry: Of course! I’m so lucky that there’s twice as much of you to love!
Sherri and Terri: Aww!
Jerri Mackleberry: ...and twice as much to remember. I forgot which twin was which...
Jerri Mackleberry: I need to practice my twin name game.

Task: Make Jerri Mackleberry Practice Naming the Correct Twin
Time: 12h
Location: The Needle Exchange
Quest reward: $100 and 10 XP

Twinception Pt. 2

Jerri Mackleberry starts

Jerri Mackleberry: Okay, Terri has a purple bow, while Sherri has... also a purple bow.
Jerri Mackleberry: Hmm, what about physical differences? Ooh, Sherri’s taller!
Jerri Mackleberry: Oh wait, Terri just has her shoes off...
Jerri Mackleberry: How can I tell them apart?
Jerri Mackleberry: I know, I’ll stab one of them...
Jerri Mackleberry: ...into this quilt with thread, then the other. I’m talking about sewing their likenesses with thread and needle, of course.
Jerri Mackleberry: Good thing I clarified that to myself.

Task: Make Jerri Mackleberry Needle a Twin Pattern
Time: 4h
Location: The Needle Exchange

Jerri Mackleberry: Well that was no use -- I still don’t know who’s who and now I have a repetitive stress injury.
Jerri Mackleberry: Why must everything in my life be repetitive??

Quest reward: $100 and 10 XP

Twinception Pt. 3

Jerri Mackleberry starts

Terri: Mom, can I have my allowance?
Jerri Mackleberry: Of course... daughter.
Terri: Can I have it via personal check? Just make it out to me.
Jerri Mackleberry: Uhh... sure, just let me start by writing the last four letters first... E-R-R-I...
Jerri Mackleberry: You know what? I’ll just make it out to “Cash”. It’ll be better for your tax bracket.
Terri: Really?
Jerri Mackleberry: Maybe? Probably be easier to learn tax code than admit to my daughters I don’t know who is who.
Jerri Mackleberry: Where’s my quilt?!

Task: Make Jerri Mackleberry Make a Cheat Sheet Pattern
Time: 4h
Location: The Needle Exchange

Sherri: What’s for dinner tonight?
Jerri Mackleberry: Well *eyes check quilt cheat sheet*, I’m making your favorite spaghetti, Sherri.
Sherri: Thanks... *checks own cheat sheet* ...Mom.

So disappointed they just skipped Easter. I really think we should be having an Easter event every year as we do with Halloween and Christmas.

Dude, you have been whining about Easter on every thread, please give it a rest, it hasn’t ever been a favorite event.
  • I like the mini-event so far... for just that reason : it's limited in time. I'm only in the 32nd level, so it takes a lot of time away from my 'everyday assignments'... overall : not too complicated, at least 3 characters and a building prize... all in a 2-week period of time. Nothing but love !
  • Thanks for the info!

In the actual play through, you can't get past Part 3. The "Crappy Mother's Day Gifts" are capped at 150 (like the SH collectibles), and it says you need to spend before collecting more. The only way you can complete it is if you have all the characters, you get 54 from all activities. You can stop between 146-149, and then send all characters on task...

Or...just wait for them to fix this....

For real. Let it go bruh.
  • So there is no new content this week? EA should just do a 2 month event instead of these 2 week event (which actually takes less then a week to complete). :/
