This forum has become crap.

Truely has, so much that this is the best thread I've seen in a long time.

Well, well,well. Didnt I say that this would happen? I said it would turn to crap, trolling would start and people would wish the forum was back to the way it was. Most Other people disagreed. Where are these other people now? Gone to another forum because they don't like the beast they created. All I can say is, I TOLD YOU SO. All we can do now, is with what members are left and new ones unaware of these so called "forum wars" is to try our best and make it even better than it was before. I mean it is certainly possible, we have a large amount of fantastic members now, new and old. Just need to shake out the trolls from the trees. But like I said, even though I was right, and the forum has gone down hill. It could be much much worse. Like back in the pre mod days. So it's not all bad and I Beleive we can make this place even better than before.

It does not take much to share some positivity with other people. I notice that far too many are too ready, willing and able to be as snarky as often as possible. THAT is annoying. Not some posts that might seem repetitive.

I see where your coming from, but now see it from our point of view, it can become annoying and make you go "ahh stuff it, why waste my time here", there are stickies to help MOST situations, but people don't like to use them for some reason. It becomes frustrating when a new or different thread is posted and it gets pushed down out of sight with hardly no views or replies due to repetative threads.

Honestly, though? I think that is the job of moderators to COMBINE repetitive threads? To clear that up as quickly as possible so other threads are not drowned out by them? People are just generally not into "searching through a whole forum" to possibly find the answer to their question either. A forum can easily become clogged with a bunch of baloney really, not just repetitive posts either. Moderators SHOULD be getting rid of offensive comments and "Goodnight" and "lol" posts too. Hell, they should get rid of this post too because it has NOTHING to do with "Game Discussion."

Earlier someone was kind enough to post a link to a thread for me about the Christmas tasks that I STRONGLY feel should be posted RIGHT HERE in the Game Discussion section of the forum...not in a more obscure or less visited area of the forum.

Seriously, I should run a forum because I would indeed run a tight ship instead of ALLOWING crapola to proliferate :lol:

I am in agreement.

I've come unglued over the LOL BS text language and nothing to actually contribute to a valid topic. My 14 year old has way more sense than many who comment here. There are a whole complement of new trolls that are obviously creating a new name every day just to F with the board. I just passed a bunch of threads with ambiguous titles because I'm tired of looking at them only to find another moronic statement or idiotic question that has been asked and answered a hundred times.

Don't feed trolls for starters, don't get me wrong i still love this place, but I think this time it has to be fixed from a members positions. Don't feed trolls, be more helpful and courteous to others, don't post a smart a$$ topic if you don't want a smart a$$ answer as I love those lol. Nah what I see happens is trolls post a rant, some people like, most dislike and it's the dislike people who then go off and make a rant thread themselves only to get it locked and it fires up the individual. I know, it's happened to me, I Beleive it's the inconsistancy in what goes and what gets locked, that has made this place rocky IMO. So if we take a zero tolerance to trolls, be more helpful and maybe even get to know fellow members more than just replying to a anonymous post basically. Please feel free to say or add anything.

any forum that's dedicated to one game (and a small mobile game at that) is obviously going to have repeated topics. you run out of things to discuss and newer members will just posts things that are already posted. just don't read them they fall off the main page if it's that much of a issue for you.

besides the search feature isn't that great

It's like you people have suddenly been exposed to the most irritating forum on the internet or something. Sounds like a bunch of old timers harking back to 'when all this used to be fields' ...

By rights a mod should come along and lock this thread for the very reason the OP is complaining about. The title of the sub forum is Game Discussion, not Forum Discussion.

And ironically I've not taken the advice I gave in the first 4 paragraphs of my own post so looks like we're all a bunch of whining hypocrites.

Fair call, but it's kinda hard when sometimes it's basically the whole page. Your blowing what I said about mods, way out of proportion, I simply stated the lack of inconsistancy. On the other forums iam a member of (mostly f1 forums) anything that is remotely a troll or troll post is banished. Result. Clean,easy to navigate and most of all a freindly forum. Iam not saying this place isn't friendly either, before that gets blown out of proportion, iam simply stating my point. Some posts which, I myself wouldn't find offensive, but I can't speak for everyone gets locked. While other posts that I find offensive and once again can't speak for everyone else, go unnoticed. Now iam not having a whinge or a rant but if someone makes a complaint, isn't my point just as valid as the nexts? Not that I did, iam simply asking a question?
