Well, those numbers (sadly) sound about right.
If we average ~30 coins per day.. event is ~32 days (depending on when you got the update), then that alone gives us 960 spins.
Now.. will this cause some of us to go into panic mode as it might be tight wrapping things up? Sure.
But, does it stretch the content a bit so that EA has us playing it throughout the event, thus giving us something to do for a month OR we cough up a lot of donuts to rush it, thus netting them some easy cash.
So, IMHO, it is a decent balance..
Just enjoy the event.. Let the math gurus crunch the numbers, check the calendar to see where you are (I am a little behind  ) and enjoy some cool new things :D
I'm very jealous if you're getting about 30 coins a day! Even with Burns' Casino jobs I don't think I'm getting that many. I can only assume-and hope-that something will be introduced later in the event that will help us with crafting. Crafting is always the hardest part, but I'm worried that it's contributing so majorly to a Prize Track.

I'm with you. The more I read about whether to craft or upgrade, the more confused I get about which I should do. :?
Yeah, it's getting really confused. And the usual scarcity of crafting materials isn't helping. Means we can't experiment.
