How about it EA?
I think the time remaining banner would be enough for me...I was just thinking how much I wanted that two days ago!tralfabits wrote:
Honestly, I'd be happy if the Town Census just told us if a task were completed or ongoing. For example, if the task is finished, the button could say "Done" instead of "Go to."
I don't particularly need to know how much time is left, but if I'm really curious I can already use the "go to" to find out.
Someone mentioned before that color coding would be nice. They already have code in place to color the task buttons orange for characters on a task in Krustyland. The recommendation was to have different color for active tasks in progress, active tasks completed, and no task assigned. Here's what I mean about the Krustyland feature that already exists:doh1886 wrote:
Very much needed since it's impossible to store Homer and Lisa
This- That would definitely be an awesome addition to the game! I'd also like to see a cancel task option on each character. It gets a little annoying storing a building or character to resend them on something else.

That would work as well. Anything that points me toward the characters who have completed their tasks would be a big help. I've accidentally left characters in Krustyland for days on end because I forget when I started their tasks over there. :oops:AJtheboss1 wrote:

Not to be cynical (as Annette prepares to be cynical) but if I had not read the store-a-building trick on this forum, I would not know it. Only a microcosm of TSTO players would ever visit a forum and learn tricks like that. In fact, I had been on the forum and very active for months before even happening to come up on such a post.
EA must make a fortune from millions of people speeding tasks and buildings. A cancel button would cost them real money. I can't imagine they will want to be doing that.- I would also love to have the ability to force all free characters to walk up to Town Hall. I remembered when i first got a nintendo Wii and you would have tons of Mii characters and there was a button that would let you have them all standing together organized. It would be nice to be able to do this somehow and then release them back on their own. Sometimes i just like seeing all my characters in a mob like setting :p

I know right?! Whenever I get a few characters at at time I sometimes delete all the roads and force them all to the boardwalk so that I can have a good look at them and it makes it seem like they're all having fun at an event! hahaDeadshot_DCU wrote:

Which doesn't help all that much when you have varied ending times for tasks in progress and you know you have one or more that have completed or should be completing in less than a minute. Often times there are situations where everyone or almost everyone are set on tasks and I know there are a few that should be done or are almost done (have a minute or two left. To click on each and every character's goto in order to see if they are one of the ones is not exactly something anyone would want to do to find those few. There are also other times where there are a few on very long tasks contrary to the rest and if you don't remember which ones those are it is the same scenario. Or wait until almost all characters are off task to identify them and then goto button them. At a glance info is a much better way to handle checking on time left when there are unknown details preventing easily checking under the current system.joeythelemur714 wrote:
If you want to look at more than one character, you have to find your way back to the Town Hall, scroll through the whole list, etc.
A good point about the navigating back to the town hall. But even if they were to implement a new button next to the saw and hammer button or added it in to the UI elsewhere it still would be just about as inconvenient to check in on multiples and track down ones as per my examples above in this post.annettemarc wrote:

This would more or less happen with how I was thinking it should be done. Keeping in mind I liked the OP idea too. Here are visuals of what I was thinking.
This is what it looks like now:

This is what it should look like when a task is in progress:

And this is what it should look like when a task is completed:
