town square issue

You can get it to meet up with the cobblestone roads. You place the town square and then overlap it with the roads. It has to overlap two squares.

i assume cobblestone roads are the same as roads as all the for sides can't connect, only 2 sides can.

Thanks! I don't have the cobble roads and assumed they were the same as the dirt and normal road.
