Set them on their tasks, do not click on anything else. Don't collect money, don't assign tasks, don't whack snakes. Nothing.

Exit the game till the task is complete (1 hour for the Louie/Legs) and it will be done. I've done this successfully on three towns and others have as well.

You might want to actually give it longer than that 1 hour but the key is to do nothing till it is done.

Don't mean to brag but I haven't had any of these tasks issues with burns,smithers or legs and Louie, must be lucky but my partner has tho.

I didn't have it with my main town but that was because I was already doing the task when the prompt came up for it and it completed a couple of minutes later.

My other two towns? Not so lucky, it reset a couple of times then I tried just putting them on their task and leaving the game alone for about 1.5 hours. Came back and they were done.

Have you tried my way? I'm glad i dont have to stop everything but I woulda hoped that my way would work for everyone. :(

Nope, LOL I tend to go on overkill mode for these glitches.

Another thing is that they could do everything first, then assign the tasks, then exit the game and come back when the task is done?

I actually watched it being reset on one of my towns. Set the task, whacked snakes, went back to check on them and they were just walking around. That was when I decided to set them on their task and just leave the game for an hour.
