- Currently no.
- I see. But I am also wishing that they have because it is very very addicting, As IT consultant it is a alleviating and stress removal game.. more effective than a paracetamol.
- No because of the transactions and need to check on updates and server settings
- I see... I understand..

interesting, I have just made a comment about offline without reading this...
I do not agree, LPN on this one, SimCity which is a game that I play allows for it, you can keep on crafting resources and build without network - it syncs when network is availalbe- does it have microtransations?

I remember I played SimCity 2000 totally offline on PC. But that is a PC game :)"LPNintendoITA;c-1635718" wrote:

don't know how micro it is, but in a way, money are collected off buildings, town design can change, new land can be unlocked, tasks can be completed, and resources can be made, stored and used
to me, it is no different to what we do in tsto,
- we collect money
- do tasks (tasks are triggered randomly and not via script, but the scripts are pre-defined and does not need network)
- generate resources (rail, and even bonus donghts)
- move buildings around and to build new ones
- purchase in-game items (with in game cash and in game premium currencies)
yes, Simcity will have a lot less objects but it can be turned 360, SimCity has a lot of random calculations based on the town you have and there are a lot of rules behind this.
both are EA games.... so it is interested how these are managed. Of course without network, it cannot make in-store purchases and neighbor visits will not be possible.
happy to discuss : )- This issue has been discussed on at least a few prior occasions. Always seems like a bit of a moot point to me. Making the suggested changes will almost certainly involve some more-than-minimal amount of software engineering on EA’s part with no accompanying financial benefit. So why would they do this?
- Playing off-line would also mean that the game would be almost impossible to play on multiple devices as all of your town information would need to be stored locally. It also allows for a lot of simple hacks like 'time-travelling' by moving the device time back and forth. Basically, the drawbacks seem to far outweigh the benefits of being able to play off-line.
