Update speculation makes no sense
Yeah we'll the simpsons show isn't entirely consistent with things as you would know, I mean in the stonecutters ep the Simpsons house was behind the power plant

The reason people speculated that it might start this week is because in the raw files it stated "Whacking Day Event ends May 2nd" so even though it's May 10th on the show, the files indicate an earlier release. Also, the Halloween event lasted a month and this event is rumored to be similar in size and content, so this week or next seem to make sense. Thanks for the congrats :D- Thing is the dates found dont mean a thing and can changed easily that day of may 2 nd could be left over from last years files. I look the raw files and there are dates all over the place for example their is a gil promotion slated for 2019 as we all know that is far fetched. I believe dates are implement for testing on their part and shouldnt be trusted just like promo prices can be changed as well. No one truly know until its active everything will always remain speculation till that point. All we can do as raw file readers is whats there and what "might" be. Nothing more, nothing less.
- Just a thought, but what if these files (along with the "ends May 2nd" script) are just for beta testers, and the actual event doesn't start until after May 2nd (say, May 10th)?
Hopefully I'm wrong and we get the update tomorrow. - This is what ea are probably saying to us

It was interesting to see the Mayan Marge image on the wiki. I guess there's stuff in the files that they later choose to forget about.- You know if EA had a scheduled release date for upcoming events people wouldn't have to effing speculate.
