For me this triggered an in-game download and then I finally had the quests triggered and the orange trees, etc. even after hard closing the app, turning my wifi back on, and starting up the game again. I actually uninstalled and reinstalled 5 times and this finally solved the problem. I am using an android device. Strange that turning of my WiFi is all it took!
