Very Pleasant Surprise! (re forum, not game)

As usual, when it changed, all of us old timers hated it. We had to relearn how to get around, and us real old timers (old farts) didn't like the change because, our minds were set at easy, and we had to add cells which were non existent to our brains, because of our mental states. I guess it's okay now, because I've had plenty of time to adjust.

@Gary_A_D Oh, I can relate....my company is in the process of switching over from IBM (Lotus) Notes to Outlook and, worse, from our Sametime chatting app (built into Notes) to Facebook's Workplace Chat, which is relatively new and missing tons of helpful features that Sametime has. As an "old-timer" myself, I think the change may be a bit harder for me, too (not from the tech angle, though, since I'm a real old-timer when it comes to online stuff....was using the Arpanet before it morphed into the internet, and used to chat on online bulletin boards (BBSs), and then Usenet, before we had all of these more modern applications.

But the change I was really noticing here wasn't as much about the "mechanics" as the tone....I used to feel that the forum was a much nastier, troll-ish place, with lots of huge annoying gifs in the signatures, and now it seems much more friendly, pleasant, and.....compact?

Okay, enough....sorry about the long response....brevity is not my forte, lol!

Most of what you mentioned, I don't know anything about those APPS, but as far as the forums beings changed, EA mentioned things were going to change, including, having a better password than our originals.
