Visits according to screen name?

Absolutely it does. Lots of players just do visits until the currency in an event runs out.

I alternate going forwards one day and backwards the next so can (hopefully) be fair to everybody even if I’m pressed for time.

I have had no issue with lack of visitors. Although I have had neighbors that must feel like it makes a difference since they changed their names to be closer to the beginning of the alphabet. I visit every neighbor when I visit. I usually visit every day during an event, but if I know I can't visit all, I don't visit any.

I work backwards. That i am probably in the middle of most lists so idk on any benefit.

I try to make sure I go to everyone from A to Z during events but sometimes if I don't have enough time then I stop when the currency does or if the connection to server goes.

Exactly this. I don't have enough time to do the whole list. But make sure I tap everyone at least once every 2 days. In a few days I'm on holidays and I will have time to tap everyone everyday.

How are people able to alternate A-Z then Z-A every other day? It takes me about 45 minutes to an hour to get through my list. If I have to start that much later each day, it would drive me crazy.

I usually don't care if my neighbors visit me in return, as I know many people are very busy. However, my husband (whose ID begins with A) and I share a few neighbors, and it does annoy me when I find out a neighbor is visiting him daily, and hasn't been to my town even once during the event. That's the only time I hide someone. If it weren't for my husband spilling the beans, I'd just keep hacking their towns, and assuming they were too busy to return the favor.

I'm trying to keep my list small, at around 40, so that I have enough to get me all I can get in an event plus I don't feel like it's too much of a chore to carry on and visit everyone...besides, even when there is no event, I like to visit everyone, maxing out the FP means I get a chance of an occasional doughnut, which has been averaging about 1 per day recently

I keep the same timing. The game just resets the whole list. You just have to be careful not to start before time. Because then you can tap without getting intel.

Edit: I only tap half my list until I fall without intel.
